SeniorTrade has partnered with SilverEco & Ageing Well International Festival at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France to promote the event in North America. Taking place September 18-19, The most comprehensive B2B for aging services in the world features the SilverEco International Ageing Awards, & SilverNight Gala, Expo, educational program, pre-qualified business meetings, networking lunches & 3-day study tour of senior living and homecare models. After successful events in Paris and Tokyo, the event found its home at the Palais des Festivals of Cannes in 2021. Representatives from more than 30 countries are expected to participate this year.

The Festival is the brainchild of Jérôme Pigniez, founder and president of On-Medio and SilverEco.org, the silver economy portal for the aging well sector. A renowned expert in demographic transition, agetech, he was the reporter for a Silver Economy working group of the Ministry of the Elderly and Autonomy, which followed the official launch of the Silver Economy branch of the French government.

“Demand is growing for solutions for an aging population. The share of the global population aged 65 years or above is projected to rise from 10% in 2022 to 16% in 2050. The diversity of players in the silver economy, their dynamism, innovations, potential for job creation, and commitment to ageing well, all bear witness to the huge economic opportunity of the demographic transition,” says Pigniez. "Partnering with SeniorTrade will help us increase awareness of SilverEco in North America. We encourage age-tech and ageing services companies to apply for the awards, participate in the Festival as an exhibitor or attendee, and join us for the 3-day study tour in the French countryside."

Event highlights:

  • SilverEco Awards and SilverNight Aging Well International Awards Gala are open to innovations in aging around the globe. Applicants apply online then pitch directly to a jury of experts on the first day of the Festival.

  • The educational program features age-tech, senior living housing models, caregiver support, and marketing and communications to target older adults.

  • The post-festival tour includes visits to senior living communities and home health venues in the South of France, including networking with the founders of innovative start-ups and representatives from the French government.

“We are thrilled to partner with SilverEco & Ageing Well International Festival," said Nancy Griffin, founder of SeniorTrade and host of the Glowing Older podcast. "Our goal is to create awareness in North America and encourage not-for-profit, startups and established companies to apply for the awards and take advantage of this one-of-a-kind global event in beautiful Cannes."
